University of Split School of Medicine and Sana Medical School to Conclude Their Cooperation
After ten years of close collaboration, University of Split School of Medicine and Sana Medical School have decided to conclude their institutional cooperation and pursue their future development independently by the end of the academic year 2031/2032.

The decision forms part of the strategic realignment of both institutions and reflects their respective priorities and long-term development plans. The institutions have agreed that their future objectives can best be pursued through separate organisational and academic pathways.

Since the beginning of the partnership in 2016, University of Split School of Medicine and Sana Medical School have worked together in delivering English Studies in Medicine for students selected in Germany. Over the past decade, the cooperation has brought together the academic expertise, teaching resources and practical experience of both institutions. A total of 98 students have already successfully completed their medical studies many of whom started their clinical training in Coburg and Lichtenfels.

Both institutions recognise the achievements of the partnership and would like to thank all students, graduates, academic and clinical teaching staff, administrative employees and partners who have contributed to the programme and will continue to do so during the upcoming transition phase.

The interests of the students currently enrolled in the joint study programme remain a central priority. All currently enrolled students will be able to complete their studies in accordance with the regulations, curricula and academic arrangements applicable to their respective cohorts.

Both institutions are committed to ensuring the continuity of teaching, examinations, academic supervision and student support throughout the remaining duration of the programme. The conclusion of the cooperation will therefore not affect the ability of currently enrolled students to complete their studies and obtain the intended academic qualification, provided that they fulfil the applicable academic requirements.

University of Split School of Medicine and Sana Medical School will continue to coordinate closely during the transition period to ensure an orderly and reliable completion of the programme for all current students.

Both institutions look back with appreciation on ten years of cooperation and wish each other every success in implementing their respective strategic objectives. Print page
