CROSBI

ℹ️ What is CROSBI?
β–Ό
CROSBI (Croatian Scientific Bibliography) is the central national database that records all scientific and professional papers and other research outputs of Croatian scientists and researchers. It enables the monitoring and evaluation of scientific activity and supports decision-making in science and higher education.
🎯 Why is it important to enter your publications in CROSBI?
β–Ό

CROSBI is a national database independent of international or domestic publishers such as Clarivate, Elsevier and others. This means you stay in control of your scientific legacy.

You keep a permanent record of your work. You never know when an international database might shut down, or how it will store or transfer its data. CROSBI ensures your records are preserved.

You enter ALL your publications in CROSBI - whether or not they are indexed in other databases, published or unpublished, written (text), video materials, presentations, etc.

You make research output visible - both that of your institution and the country's overall scientific output.

You can correct errors made by publishers or by administrators of other databases.

πŸ’‘
YOU guarantee the accuracy of the data!

CROSBI is designed as a reliable database whose credibility depends above all on you. You know the keywords, the category, the type of publication, and which conference you took part in and in what capacity.

Your institution's library staff are here to help you and to verify that your entries are accurate.

⚑ Why it matters for your career:

πŸ“Š Bibliometric certificates: CROSBI is the basis for the official bibliometric certificates issued by library staff.

πŸ“ˆ Promotion: For academic promotion, ALL publications shown in your bibliometric certificate must be entered in CROSBI. Without a CROSBI entry, your publications will not be recorded in official documents!

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Check whether a record already exists!

⚠️
IMPORTANT: Before entering a publication, check whether a record already exists!

To avoid duplicate records, first check whether the publication is already in the CROSBI database. Duplicate records cause problems in the system and make it harder to track publications.

πŸ” How to check whether a publication is already in CROSBI?
β–Ό
πŸ”’

Search by DOI

Enter the publication's DOI in the search box. This is the most precise way to search.

πŸ“

Search by title

Enter the exact title of the publication. Use this method if the publication has no DOI.

πŸ’‘ Note: Not all publications have a DOI! Older papers and publications from some publishers often have no DOI assigned, so in those cases you need to search by title.
