Day 4

 Day 4: Using the following form make the list of “alternative” interventions and systematic reviews on effects of each of them.
 
  • Each student group will list as many as possible “alternative” treatments (at least 6), with ONE systematic review for ONE disease for each of these treatments.
  • Students may use systematic reviews which analyze more than one disease for the chosen “alternative” treatment.
  • If there are no systematic reviews for a given “alternative” treatment, students should look for RCT and then for cohort or cross-sectional study – in accord wtih Table 1 in Appendix 4 of the textbook “Principles of Research in Medicine”.
  • In 1 or 2 sentences students should wrte the key finding for each of the selected articles.
