CALL FOR APPLICANTS AND APPLICATION PROCEDURE
FOR ADMISSION INTO THE FIRST YEAR
OF THE INTEGRATED UNDERGRADUATE AND GRADUATE PROGRAM
MEDICAL STUDIES IN ENGLISH
for the academic year 2025/26
Applicants who completed secondary school education and passed final exams are eligible to apply for admission (total duration of previous education - 12 years minimum).

Step 1: Online registration at the School of Medicine Admission portal:
https://eduplan.mefst.hr/Upisi
Mandatory documents to be enclosed with the application are listed in the online form. Proof of payment of the application fee (200 EUR) must also be provided for the application to be considered. Please click
submit once you have completed the form and uploaded all documents.
Deadline for submitting the application is 1 July 2025.
In step 1 candidates must select the category they are applying for.
It is not possible to apply for both categories.
Category 1: Students who will attend all 6 years of the Program at the USSM and its collaborative teaching organizations in the Republic of Croatia (40 places total).
Category 2: Students who will attend the first 3 years of the Program at the USSM and its collaborative teaching organizations in Republic of Croatia. Courses of the 4
th, 5
th and 6
th year of the Program will be organized at the USSM collaborative teaching organization Sana Kliniken (former REGIOMED- KLINIKEN) in the Federal Republic of Germany in accordance to their possibilities (30 places total).
Step 2: Registration through the Central Admission Office:
- Fill out the registration form on the website “Postani student” - instructions in English and link to the form can be found on the English version of the website at https://www.studij.hr/all-about-applications (select: Candidates who have completed their high school education abroad --> Application --> Instructions for filling in the registration form). **please note that candidates who had already registered last year, shouldn't register again as their credentials from last year are still valid
- Once you are informed that your personal data are verified by the Central Admission Office, you will have to log into the portal of Central Admission Office and choose our study program (choose: Medicine; be careful not to choose “Medicina” in Croatian language).
- All applicants must send required documents* by post (priority mail) to be considered for admission.
Required documents*:
- certified copy of passport (for foreign citizens who do not have a Croatian OIB)
- certified copies of report cards / transcripts for all four grades of secondary school (or three years for applicants who completed their secondary education in a country that has a three-year long secondary education)
- certified copy of the final high school report card / final certificate
Documents have to be translated to Croatian or English by a certified court interpreter (
except if they are in one of the languages of the EU; or in Serbian, Montenegrian or Bosnian Latin script)

Please note that documents will be forwarded to the Agency for Science and Higher Education for evaluation and will not be returned to candidates.
The deadlines for sending the documents by post:
- 22 May 2025 (for candidates who completed their secondary education before 31 Dec 2024)
- 1 July 2025 (for candidates who completed / are going to complete their secondary education after 31 December 2024)
Candidates who completed their secondary education outside EU or do not hold an IB degree, need to complete the online request for recognition of foreign secondary education that can be found on their personal profile on postani-student.hr.
Annual tuition fee: 12.000 EUR
Tuition fee for the 1
st study year must be paid in full within one week from the date of receiving the formal letter of acceptance in the electronic format. Upon completion of the payment, the applicants are officially enrolled.
All tuition fees are non-refundable.
Duration of the Program is 6 years.
