Confidential Communication

If you are the victim of any form of misconduct/harassment or are concerned for another TRIBE student, we recognize that it can be challenging to determine whom you can contact to obtain information about your options and resources. Depending on whom you choose to speak with, there are limits on the confidentiality of the information you share with TRIBE staff and faculty members. Before making a decision, you may want to consider the following.

Confidential Communications:  Confidential communications are those communications that will not be disclosed to another person without your consent, except under very limited circumstances such as an imminent threat or danger to self or others.
Non-Confidential Communications:  The University is required by law to investigate and respond to specific incidents (e.g. sexual misconduct). Non-confidential communications consist of those communications that will be disseminated to others on a need-to-know basis to ensure that necessary steps are taken to protect all members of the University community.
