Incoming students

Student mobility can occur in any academic field and cycle (short-cycle, undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral studies). In order to ensure high-quality mobility activities with the maximum impact on students, they must correspond to the student's learning outcomes depending on their qualification and their personal development needs.
Students can be involved in the following activities:

  • Study mobility
  • Placement mobility
  • Short term mobility

Study mobility
We accept students from institutions participating in Erasmus+ (KA131 and KA171) programmes. If you would like to study at USSM as an Erasmus+ student, first thing is to check if there is an interinstitutional agreement between your home institution and USSM.
For Erasmus+ Programme, application is administered online and managed by UNIST International Relations Office. Detailed application procedure can be found at University’s web: https://www.unist.hr/en/international/students/incoming/erasmus-study-period

Placement mobility
Foreign students can spend a part of their studies at the University of Split under the Erasmus+ traineeship Programme. Traineeship can be undertaken at USSM or University Hospital.
In order to apply for a traineeship in University Hospital Split / USSM, students have to fulfill following requirements:

  • the course in which student wants to do a clinical practice must be passed
  • application for traineeship has to be submitted electronically by e-mail: erasmus@mefst.hr
  • minimum language requirement: English B2
Application should be consisted of:
  • CV
  • grade transcript with GPA (grade point average)
  • certificate of English language knowledge
  • application form

Application procedure starts in January for the following summer. Universities don't need to have IIA signed.
Summer practice is organized by our Office, so students shouldn't contact supervisors or hospital in person.
All accepted students will get acceptance letter by email.
Accepted students have to make sure to have full insurance for the whole duration of the traineeship (health, liability and accident)
