Individualized study program

Students without biomedical background, i.e. students whose previous studies were in the field of natural or social sciences, will have individualized study program with topics related to their doctoral thesis. Before defending their thesis proposal, these students need to pass a joint exam from the topics covered with individualized program.

For example, a student who aims to study neuroprotective role of ATP-sensitive potassium channels in cerebral ischemia may be asked to attend selected classes of Neuroanatomy, Histology of Nervous System, Neuroscience or Pharmacology courses. The content of the individualized study program will be determined by a mentor and Thesis Supervisory Committee. Print page
