Jelena Korać Prlić, doc. dr. sc.
Jelena Korać Prlić is Asisstant professor at Department of Immunology and Medical Genetics, School of Medicine, University of Split since 2013. where she participates in research and teaching. She graduated Molecular biology at Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb in 2007. and Medical Biochemistry at Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Zagreb, in 2011. She recevied her PhD in 2013. at School of Medicine, University of Split, under supervision of Prof. Ivan Đikić with PhD thesis “The role of optineurin in autophagic clearance of protein aggregates in neurodegenerative diseases”. During her PhD she was visiting student at Medical Faculty of the Goethe University, Frankfurt.
Her research interests are focused on understanding molecular and cellular mechanisms of inflammation-induced bladder cancer development. Research is done on BBN mice model for bladder cancer using knock-out and conditional knock-out mice models targeting genes involved in inflammation.
