mag. chem.

Ana Rožić has joined the Department for Immunology and Medical Genetics as a doctoral student in October 2021. She is working on the Croatian Science Foundation reserch project „Regulation of receptor-mediated mitophagy in erythroid lineage cells", under the mentorship of prof. dr. sc. Ivana Novak Nakir. She has finished undergraduate university study of Chemical engineering and got her masters degree in Organic chemistry and biochemistry at University of Split, Faculty of Chemistry and Technology. Ana will investigate the mechanisms of activation and regulation of Nix receptor-mediated mitophagy, especially in the context of erythroid cell differentiation and development in order to study the physiological changes that occur in reticulocytes during maturation.
